Vargas buys an apartment worth 3.5 million dollars with a monthly income of 11 thousand dollars

The former mayor of Huixquilucan, Enrique Vargas del Villar, bought an apartment in Miami for 3.5 million dollars (equivalent to 70 million pesos) and declared a monthly income of 228,280 pesos (around 11,256 dollars) in 2021. Currently, as a local deputy, he earns a monthly income of 98,280 pesos (around 4,846 dollars) from his position and 130,000 pesos (around 6,410 dollars) from rentals, according to his asset declaration. He used the company Vaco Holdings LLC to acquire the apartment. With these earnings, it would take him 25 years to accumulate the value of the property. The 249-square-meter (around 2,680 square feet) apartment is located in the Armani Casa Residences Tower in Miami. Additionally, Vargas owns other properties in Mexico. In response to the news, Vargas stated on Twitter that he has been a businessman for over 30 years and that the information had already been published previously. He confirmed that the apartment is in his name, purchased through a loan, and that there is nothing to hide.
